Le procès des faucheurs volontaires d’OGM de Marmande, en octobre 2010, a conduit à la condamnation des 87 faucheurs inculpés. A ce jour, hors frais d’avocats, ce fauchage de maïs transgénique coûte environ 55 000 €. Le 14 juin un autre procès a eu lieu à Poitiers, le délibéré sera rendu le 28. En 5 ans ces actions de fauchage ont coûté environ 1 million d’euros, condamnations, dommages et intérêts et frais de justice.
Le fauchage est une action parmi bien d’autres qui ont permis le moratoire sur le maïs transgénique Monsanto 810. Nous n’avons plus officiellement, depuis 2007, de culture commerciale d’OGM en France !
4 faucheurs ariègeois, membres de l’Equi’Table, sont parmi les condamnés, justifiant l’implication de cette association dans une collecte de fond par l’organisation d’un concert de soutien le 1 juillet 2011.
